At PsyToronto, we are committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care. Our goal is to support your well-being and help you move toward your mental health goals. Finding a therapist should feel supportive – not stressful or overwhelming – which is why we created the PsyToronto Guarantee.
What is the PsyToronto Guarantee?
The PsyToronto Guarantee – also known as our Therapist Match Guarantee – is a policy put in place to protect you. It ensures that you are paired with the best therapist for your individual needs.
If you are a new client and you are not satisfied with the first session you received, we are proud to offer you a new session with a different therapist at PsyToronto, free of charge.
Alternatively, you can request a full reimbursement of your fees.
It is a confidence endorsement: we stand behind our therapists and believe in the quality of work that they do.
How does the PsyToronto Guarantee work?
Share your feedback within one week
Following your first appointment, if you are unsatisfied, you have up to a week to reach out to our team and share your feedback. You can contact us directly at client@psytoronto.ca.
Choose your path forward
Once your feedback has been received and approved, let us know whether you would like to schedule an appointment with a new therapist at no charge, or receive a full reimbursement of the fees paid for your first session.
Book your follow-up session (if applicable)
If you choose to rebook with a new therapist, you can book through our online platform. Once booked, contact us at client@psytoronto.ca at least 48 hours before the appointment so the fee can be set to $0 and the new therapist can be briefed.
Things to note
- The PsyToronto Guarantee policy is only applicable to new clients of the clinic.
- The guarantee is only valid for the first appointment.
- The client must have attended their first appointment.
Frequently asked questions
How long after my first appointment can I get a reimbursement or therapist switch at no cost?
You have up to one week following your initial appointment to request a reimbursement or a therapist switch.
How long do I have to redeem my free session after the guarantee has been granted?
The free session is valid for a 3-month period following the initial appointment.
Why was the PsyToronto Guarantee created?
As an organization, this is a promise we are making to our clients to help them find the best therapist on their wellness journey. It is also a confidence endorsement – we stand behind our therapists and believe in the quality of work that they do.
Does the guarantee apply to online therapy and in-person sessions?
Yes. The PsyToronto Guarantee applies to both online therapy and in-person sessions at our Toronto office.
